Swedish Seeded Crispbread

Swedish Gluten-free Seeded Crispbread

This recipe for Swedish seeded crispbread has been on my to-do-list to post for some time. It was one of my best sellers at Marlow’s Artisan food market.  Packed full of healthy seeds, oats and gluten-free too so suitable for coeliacs.  These hard crispbreads (frökex or fröknäcke) are incredibly popular in Sweden, with most households…

Miso glazed aubergine

Miso Glazed Aubergine with Whipped Tofu & Peanuts

Asian food is a strong contender as one of my favourite cuisines. A broad choice of countries to choose from, from Thailand to Sri Lanka and Indian to Vietnam.  However Japanese, with its incredible sushi and sashimi, dishes such as ramen, yakitori and donburi to name but a few is one of my favourites. One…

Scandinavian Quick Pickled Red Onions

Generally you’ll always find a jar of these sweet piquant vegetables in my fridge.  Pickled red onions transform raw onion from pungent and crunchy to delicate and mellow.  Occasionally I add chilli flakes for extra spice or herbs for extra flavour.  They couldn’t be quicker to make either, just measure out the ingredients and mix,…

Roasted Cauliflower Falafel

This recipe is remarkably east to make, nourishing and testament to cauliflowers versatility.  Actually, I’m of the opinion that it’s one of the most versatile of vegetables.  Gone are the days when the height of cauliflower cuisine was cauliflower cheese! A great lunch option or make a little larger for dinner, pop in a bun,…

Mezze Table

Muhammara Dip with Pitta Bread

I just like something really tasty to eat. Actually, I like it if I’m offered three or four small delicious plates from which I can choose. The way we eat has changed dramatically, far more appealing than the strict, formal, starter, main course and side dish.  Relaxed dining with multiple dishes in the centre of…

It’s been a while since I posted a breakfast recipe so I thought I’d share this one with you.
